IndieRE #153 by Radio Student, Zagreb
This time the new edition of the IndieRE broadcast is from Zagreb, Croatia. The episode includes a variety of genres such as etno, indie folk, and americana, all the way to math rock and midwest emo. We start with Maali, a relatively new name on our scene with his self-titled debut album. Next up is Dunije, a female vocal supergroup consisting of Dunja Knebl, Nina Romić and Jelena Galović. Our third pick are the veterans of alternative music Peach Pit with their first release in over twelve years. The album encompasses a five year period of creation summed up in one 32-minute long composition. After Peach Pit we move on to another new name on the scene – Kaleido with their debut LP Čiji je ovo pas. An interesting blend of midwest emo, shoegaze and as they put it »jazzy parts«. Our final pick for this show is a single from Živa voda, a kolektiv mostly made up of members of Mimika Orchestra. Živa voda has teamed up with Darko Rundek, a monumental name on the scene for more than thirty years. Together they released the single Ogledalo.
