Gorilla Mask is a trio consisting of Peter Van Huffle on alto saxophone, Roland Fidezius on electric bass and Rudi Fischerlehner on drums. The trio is based in Berlin and plays a mixture of jazz, rock and free improvised music. “Forgive me, Mother” was released in 2019 on the Portuguese label “Clean Feed Records” and is part of the album “Brain Drain”. I really love the beginning of this track, the dry, hammering rhythm from the drums and the electric bass which are joined shortly after by roaring saxophone lines played by Peter Van Huffle.
