Marijana has been working as a radio host at Slovenian Radio Študent for three years now. As a teenager, she was interested in organizing music events, so she started to volunteer at small Croatian music festival named Indirekt. Few years after that, she becomes a member of coordination crew. As a radio host she creates radio show Hiljadu decibela, which you can catch up every other Tuesday at 20h. Radio show focuses on the new music scene in ex Yugoslavian countries. Besides that, she co-creates radio show Mali granični prijelaz which is a radio show in Croatian language. She represents Radio Študent as a part of the Next You media network, which connects independent radio stations and organizations from Ex Yugoslavia countries. Last year she was head of Klubski Maraton, a project from Radio Študent in which several new bands/music artists were picked and got a chance to play all over Slovenia. The main point of the project is decentralization of the Slovenian music scene as well as giving opportunities for new musicians. This year she is a head of Tresk Festival. It’s a festival that connects Slovenian music labels and it takes place in Ljubljana, this year from 15. to 17. September.
